Vision Alaska helps create partnerships where ANW churches unite with Alaskan churches to champion and support their missional ministry opportunities across the state.
Alaska isn’t just a place on the map; it’s a unique mission field in our own district. In many ways, ministry in Alaska is more akin to missions overseas than ministry in Olympia. This is your opportunity to partner with our Alaska leaders in a mutually benefitting way that will bring Fourfold transformation in areas that desperately need it. Together, we can make a kingdom impact in Alaska as in Heaven!
2025 Ministry Opportunities
There are a number of ways you and your church can get involved with ministry in Alaska during the upcoming months.
The opportunities include:
SOUTHEAST ALASKA
12 different options for construction and building repairs on Prince of Wales Island. Some work could be done by small teams staying a few days; some would involve larger teams for longer periods.
Kid’s ministries, community evangelism and woodcutting-for-winter at Edna Bay.
Community outreach and ministry to cruise ship employees in Ketchikan.
METRO ANCHORAGE
Bear Paw Festival evangelism, July 9-13. This would include some pre-event planning with the ACF staff in Eagle River in order to have a strong Gospel presence at this major community event.
Community outreach with a new Alliance church in northeast Anchorage, including prayer walks, addressing community needs and distributing invitations to church events.
Repair/maintenance project on the ACF building in Eagle River. Some construction experience for parts of this would be beneficial.
SOUTHWEST ALASKA
Kid’s ministries, friendship evangelism and building projects in Naknek.
Community outreach in King Salmon

Service Projects
Peer into the heart of Alaska, and you’ll glimpse the pressing needs that stir our prayers and fuel our passion for Gospel transformation. Explore tailored partnership opportunities designed to empower our Alaskan churches and propel their missions forward below.
Leadership Development
A Leadership Development pathway is being established to equip leaders for Alaska from Alaska. The pathway will include trainings to equip leaders with culturally contextualized Alaska Ministry realities along with solid Biblical foundations. The goal is to have a mirrored program in each network. Life in Alaska is not for everyone, which is why the need to equip local Alaskans is so important.
Church Planting
We invite you to join us in prayer about where the Holy Spirit might be calling us to plant Alliance Churches in Alaska. These are some of the areas we have on our hearts:
Fairbanks, Juneau, Sitka, Nome
Apostolic Opportunities
There are Gospel opportunities in Alaska that don’t fit the normal pastoral or church scenario. These missional opportunities are generally not sustainable, but are desperately needed in the villages and outlying areas. To make these opportunities happen, the churches need partners. If you have a heart for opportunities like this, we encourage you to connect with us about what that could look like for you or your church.
