Beginning April 14, join churches across our district for 40 days leading up to Pentecost as we prepare to celebrate the breakthrough moment when God's Spirit took up residence within us. Each day includes a brief Scripture reading, reflection, prayer prompt, and a question to carry with you.

The prophets trembled with anticipation for a day they would never see, when God's Spirit would fall on all people. That day came at Pentecost. And yet, while we celebrate Christmas for a month, Holy Week with reverence, and Easter with joy, Pentecost often passes in silence.

Why is that? What does our silence say about our relationship with the Holy Spirit? This year, we are inviting our pastors and their churches to change that.

Our prayer is that these 40 days will awaken in us a fresh awareness of the gift we carry, the Spirit of the living God dwelling within us and moving among our churches.
