Stir: A City-wide Church Planting Event

Engaging Civic Leaders to Extend God's Kingdom

Stir is a one-day church planting event for all who are interested in church planting – whether you’re a seasoned vet or just exploring your options – with the purpose of helping you keep your mind, body, and soul intact as a planter.

Our focus will be "Engaging Civic Leaders As We Seek To Extend God's Kingdom."

Our guest speaker will be pastor and author Chuck Bomar.

Chuck Bomar served nine years at Cornerstone Church in Simi Valley, California before moving to Portland, Oregon in 2008. There, he planted Colossae Church that has now become four congregations. In addition to embedding into the city through strategic relationships with civic and school district leaders, he has authored over a dozen small group resources and nine books with the most recent being, "Serving Local Schools.” Chuck leads the Missional Leadership track for the Master of Applied Theology & Doctorate of Ministry programs at Multnomah Seminary, speaks frequently, and serves as a consultant, but his favorite place to be is home. As you can see from his Facebook/Instagram feed, being home with his girls is his happy place. Chuck and his wife, Barbara, have three beautiful daughters: Karis, Hope and Sayla.

Explore ways in which you can create strategic relationships with leaders in your church's city. This is an opportunity to learn, meet other local planters, and be encouraged.

* The event is free, but please RSVP so we have lunch ready for you.
